Yes, you can buy a tiny home on Amazon. You won’t find many, though, and fewer still are ready to live in. When we searched in November 2026, the real listings were a handful of steel folding homes, backyard office pods, one wood tiny house from a known builder, and frame-only kits. Most had no customer reviews yet.
That doesn’t make them a bad buy, but it does mean you have to do the checking a review section would normally do for you. This guide lists what we found, what each listing does and doesn’t say, and the questions to ask before you spend $20,000 or more. We haven’t seen or tested any of these homes. Everything below comes from the Amazon listings, and prices are as listed on November 5, 2026.

The short answer
- To live in: the folding steel homes ($27,900 and $42,000) and the ESCAPE Boho E ($39,500) are sold as homes.
- To work in, or as a guest space: the steel backyard office ($20,999) and the YARDADU office pod ($25,500) are sold as offices. Check your local rules before anyone sleeps in one.
- To build yourself: the TruHaven steel frame kit ($4,500) is the frame only, with engineer-stamped plans for your permit. You add everything else.
- None had more than three customer reviews when we checked, and the price rarely includes the foundation, utility hookups, permits or setup.

Frame kit: TruHaven Blossom Haven (100 sq ft)
The cheapest real building on the list is also the most honest about what it is. This is a cold-formed steel frame package: pre-cut studs, tracks and headers, made in Utah from US steel, according to the listing. The big selling point is paperwork. TruHaven says the plans arrive stamped by a professional engineer licensed in your state, ready to submit for a permit, and that its engineers will help with code questions.
You supply everything else: sheathing, insulation, roofing, windows, doors, finishes and the foundation. The listing also offers 120, 160 and 180 sq ft layouts. With only three reviews averaging 2.5 stars, read them before ordering.
TruHaven Blossom Haven Steel Frame Only Kit, 100 Sq Ft
- Steel frame only; foundation and finishes not included
- Engineer-stamped plans for permit submittal, per the listing
- $4,500 on November 5, 2026; 2.5 stars from 3 reviews
Folding steel backyard office (UltraSpace)
This one ships folded and opens out on site into a larger room. It has a galvanized steel frame, insulated wall panels, several windows and a glazed door. The listing gives a floor area of 36 square meters (about 390 sq ft) and a weight of 6,614 pounds, so plan for heavy equipment to unload it.
It’s marketed for offices, work areas, storage and commercial use, not as a home. If you want to sleep in it, check your local rules first, and ask the seller about insulation values and whether it has any electrical or plumbing.
Prefab Backyard Office, Galvanized Steel (folding)
- Folding galvanized steel frame with insulated panels
- Listed at 36 m² floor area and 6,614 lb
- $20,999 on November 5, 2026; no reviews yet
YARDADU Productivity Office pod
A 120 sq ft backyard office, 16 ft 6 in by 7 ft 4 in, that YARDADU says is insulated, soundproof and waterproof. The listing says production takes 8 to 12 weeks and mentions financing. Like the steel office, it’s sold as a workspace rather than a home. Its three reviews average 2.0 stars, so read them closely before you commit.
YARDADU Prefab Backyard Office Shed Pod
- 120 sq ft, 16 ft 6 in x 7 ft 4 in
- 8 to 12 weeks production time, per the listing
- $25,500 on November 5, 2026; 2.0 stars from 3 reviews
Folding steel homes from Latincomerc
These two listings are written in Spanish and sold by Latincomerc. The single unit is a 20 ft folding steel home that the seller pitches as a small family home, field office or guest house. The listing gives a floor area of 38 square meters (about 409 sq ft) and a weight of 7,716 pounds. The two-level version stacks two 20 ft folding units, and the seller says it installs in a few days without heavy construction.
One thing to clear up before you buy: the two-level listing shows the same floor area and weight as the single unit. That may just be a copy-paste error, but ask the seller for a spec sheet and a full list of what’s included (bathroom, kitchen, wiring, plumbing) before you order either one.
Casa Modular Plegable 20FT (folding steel home)
- 20 ft folding unit, 38 m² listed floor area, 7,716 lb
- Listing is in Spanish; ask for a full spec sheet
- $27,900 on November 5, 2026; no reviews yet
Casa Plegable 20 Ft x Dos Niveles (two-level folding home)
- Two stacked 20 ft folding units
- Listed specs match the single unit; confirm with the seller
- $42,000 on November 5, 2026; no reviews yet
ESCAPE Boho E
The only listing from a known tiny home builder. It’s sold by ESCAPE RV and listed as a wood home measuring 25 ft long, 8 ft 6 in wide and 10 ft high. The Amazon listing itself has almost no description, so read the full specs on ESCAPE’s own site before you buy. When we checked, Amazon showed only one left in stock.
- 25 ft x 8 ft 6 in x 10 ft, wood construction
- Sold by ESCAPE RV; check full specs with the builder
- $39,500 on November 5, 2026; no reviews yet
What the price usually doesn’t include
The listing price is rarely the cost of a home you can move into. Budget for:
- Delivery and unloading. These weigh thousands of pounds. Amazon’s delivery charge depends on your address, so check it at checkout, and ask the seller whether a crane or forklift is needed on site and who provides it.
- A foundation or pad. The TruHaven listing says outright that the foundation isn’t included. Assume the same for the others unless the seller confirms otherwise.
- Utility hookups. Water, sewer or septic, and electrical service usually need licensed trades and their own permits.
- Permits and zoning. Many towns limit where a small home can go and whether you can live in it full time. Ask your local building or zoning office before you order, not after delivery.
- Finishing. Frame kits and some shells need insulation, interior walls, flooring and fixtures.
Questions to ask the seller before you order
Message the seller through Amazon so the answers are on record:
- What exactly is included: bathroom, kitchen, wiring, plumbing, windows, doors?
- Does it meet a building code, or carry a third-party certification your local office will accept?
- What are the insulation values, and the wind and snow load ratings?
- How is it delivered and unloaded, and what does the site need (access width, crane, level pad)?
- What’s the warranty, and who handles a damaged delivery?
Frequently asked questions
Can you really buy a tiny home on Amazon?
Yes. A small number of prefab homes, folding steel units, backyard office pods and frame kits are listed on Amazon, mostly from independent sellers. In November 2026 they ranged from $4,500 for a frame-only kit to $42,000 for a two-level folding home.
Do Amazon tiny homes come with plumbing and electricity?
It depends on the listing, and many don’t say clearly. Some are bare shells or frames. Ask the seller for a written list of what’s included before you buy, and plan on licensed trades for the hookups.
Do I need a permit for a tiny home from Amazon?
Usually, yes, at least for the foundation, electrical and plumbing, and often for the building itself. Rules vary by town, so check with your local building and zoning office first. Kits that come with engineer-stamped plans, like the TruHaven frame, make the permit step easier.
Is a tiny home from Amazon cheaper than building one?
The listing price can be lower than a custom build, but delivery, the foundation, hookups, permits and finishing add a lot. Compare the total cost to move in, not just the price on the page. If you’re handy, converting a shed or building your own can cost less.
Listings, prices and availability on Amazon change often. Check the current listing before you buy.
